Getting to Bratislava
By train or bus
The hotel is located next to Bratislava Main Railway Station, making train travel particularly convenient from Prague and Budapest. Train connections are also available from Warsaw and Kraków.
By plane
You may fly either to Bratislava Airport (BTS) or Vienna Airport (VIE).
Bratislava Airport (BTS)
- Direct flights are available from Warsaw and Gdańsk.
- Bus 61 connects the airport directly with Bratislava Main Railway Station, next to the hotel.
Vienna Airport (VIE)
- Direct buses operated by FlixBus, RegioJet and Slovak Lines connect the airport with Bratislava in approximately one hour.
- Some services stop at Bratislava Main Railway Station, while others terminate in the city centre or at the main bus station, both with easy onward connections.
- We recommend booking your bus ticket online in advance.
If you are travelling from Poland, flying via Vienna may offer more convenient connections than flying directly to Bratislava. You are also welcome to combine different travel options – for example, fly to Bratislava and return from Vienna, or vice versa.
By car
Parking is available in the hotel's underground garage. Drive directly to the garage entrance, ring the reception and let them know you are attending the Stronger Roots workshop.
Whenever possible, we encourage participants to share a car with others.
Getting around Bratislava
Bratislava has a reliable and well-connected public transport network of trams, buses and trolleybuses, making it easy to travel around the city.
If you prefer a taxi, app-based services such as Bolt, Uber and HOPIN operate throughout Bratislava and can be booked using their standard mobile apps.
Travel reimbursement
Your travel costs will be reimbursed after the workshop upon submission of the required supporting documents. Please see the Travel reimbursement for detailed instructions.
Explore Bratislava
If your travel plans allow, we encourage you to spend some time exploring Bratislava. The historic city centre and Bratislava Castle are only a few minutes away on foot and/or by public transport, and Monday afternoon before the welcome dinner is a great opportunity to discover the city.
You are also welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer. Please note that any accommodation, meals or travel costs outside the official workshop dates will be at your own expense.
