[:sk]Napriek formálnej garancii rodovej rovnosti a ľudských práv, v každodennom živote stále pretrváva množstvo nerovností, ktorých primárnou príčinou sú rodové stereotypy a predsudky. Cieľom projektu je posilnenie aktívneho občianstva. Vidíme však potrebu „zviditeľnenia“ jeho rodových aspektov v rodovo nerovnom prostredí, kde je uplatňovanie princípov demokracie iné pre ženy ako pre mužov, v neprospech žien. Projekt sa preto zameriava na podporu a porozumenie rodovej rovnosti a posilnenie dievčat a mladých žien prostredníctvom vzdelávania a osvety. Svojimi aktivitami pre ne vytvára symbolický a reálny priestor a podporuje ich povedomie v oblasti rodovej rovnosti a ľudských práv. Aj keď hlavnou cieľovou skupinou sú dievčatá a mladé ženy, projekt smeruje k eliminácii rodových stereotypov prostredníctvom osvetových aktivít venovaných širokej verejnosti. Výstupy projektu – verejné diskusie, okrúhle stoly, kalendár, diár, prevádzka knižnice, správa z výskumu -podporujú naplnenie cieľa projektu.

kontakt: monika@esfem.sk[:en]Despite the formal guarantee of gender equality and human rights, in everyday life there still persists a number of inequalities which are the primary cause of gender stereotypes and prejudices. The aims of the project are to strengthen active citizenship. Thus, we see the need for „visibility“ of  gender aspects in gender-unequal environment where the application of the principles of democracy is different for women than for men, towards women’s disadvantage. Therefore, the project focuses on support and understanding of gender equality and the empowerment of young women through education and edification. Through activities, symbolic and real space is created for them and it supports their awareness on gender equality and human rights. The project is directed towards the elimination of gender stereotypes through awareness raising activities in general public. Project outcomes-public discussions, round tables, diaries, library,..support the fulfillment of the aim of the project.
