Novinárska cena

We highlight professional work of journalists in the categories for print and electronic media, photographers, bloggers, investigative or regional journalists. With this competition, we encourage an informed debate about the status and trends in Slovak journalism and help improve its professionalism and quality. Since 2004, more than 6500 contributions have joined the competition, of which 198 came out as winners and 155 judges have ruled, of which 59 were from abroad. The public voting determines the winner of the Czecho-Slovak public award. Awarded contributions have also studied specific corruption cases, state of Slovak judicial system, but also Roma issues.
